Nas (Wikipedia Edit #12)

For my last Wikipedia edit of the year, I updated the page on "Nas," aka "Nasty Nas," aka "Nasir Jones." Nas has joined the fleet of big time rappers, coming out with his own TV reality show which will be on MTV. The show "Mr. and Mrs. Jones," is expected to air within the next year, and is about the lives of Nas and Kelis.

Mike, I don't know how you feel about this, but I'm not really too happy with my man, Nas, coming out with a reality series. The rap industry is now dominated by sellouts (exhibit A...Jay Z doing bud select commercials with Danica Patrick) and this is the last thing hip hop needs. Nas was one of the last true rap artist. He was a man that was well respected because of how genuine he was in his raps and how he always stayed true to himself. I have a huge issue with his transition from selling crack on the street corner to baking cookies (or whatever) with his wife, meanwhile catering to a 14 year old MTV audience. Doesn't he have enough money, where's the integrity?
